Joshua Mohr, author of Sirens, will sit in conversation with Eric Obanauf, his publisher at Two Dollar Radio. Find out how Mohr first connected with Obenauf, what happened after he did, and what kind of things are important to look for in a publisher. A Q&A will follow.

Former Kansas City Mayor Sly James, in discussion with Bob Snodgrass, will talk about James’ new autobiography, A Passion for Purpose: Building Cities for Our Children. It seamlessly incorporates the former mayor’s political philosophy and his life story into a fast-paced and entertaining story told with an informative and authentic style. James and Snodgrass will engage in a dynamic conversation that includes audience participation, followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase by Ascend Books, LLC.

Writing partners work to elevate each other’s work from good to great, but how does one manage this relationship from different parts of the country? Joshua Mohr and Ron Currie live in California and Maine, respectively, but have maintained a strong writing partnership in spite of the distance.
