Abigail Walden
Abigail is a recent graduate from UMKC, where she's now a grad student working toward a Masters in Public Administration. She started working at Wonderscope Children's Museum in June of 2018, and while working there, she became interested in the idea of holding zine workshops for the youngsters who come to the museum. While trying to get a workshop at Zine Con 4 about teaching zines to kids, she ended up being one of the two presenters at the workshop! Abigail works at Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri as a Troop Experience Manager, supporting volunteers, troops, and troop leaders. She's been with Girl Scouts in a variety of positions since February 2018, and Abigail plans to continue working in non-profits. Abigail plays in the Kansas City Civic Orchestra and also serves on their board. Abigail has two dogs and two cats she adopted, and she could probably be convinced to adopt more. She's so excited to be part of helping more kids learn about zines as a creative outlet, as that's her goal for her personal role on the KC Zine Con organizing committee.
